AMO Experiment. 16 months research, no publications. Interview went well. No prior contact with PI

Ignore waitlist. Does anyone got selected to hep-th, particularly under Lara Anderson or James Gray? Or does anyone had any kind of interview from them? VT used to send offer letters around this time, but hadn't heard anything yet. Thanks in advanced

I emailed Dr. Karalee Ransom to know my application status and she told me that they already sent 8 offer letters and they will take only 4/5 students. And I am not on the first list.

"Your recommendation for admission to the program is conditional & contingent upon securing funding from a faculty member. Another way to look at this is that you are on a waitlist. The next step is for you to find a match to one of our research groups". Not a true waitlist, a bit more optimism than that, but still a bummer

Very sad to be rejected from here, but I am so happy for the people that were admitted! Congrats to people that were admitted!

Cosmo-th. 1 paper under review from Master's thesis (preprint on arXiv). Projects on Blackhole, string theory, particle physics, quantum gravity, dark matter/energy, galaxy and gravitational wave. No exceptional recos but 2 strong ones.
