I also received the email from the program director that they are still in process of reviewing applications and are trying to send out decisions by the end of March.

TOEFL 97, Speaking 23 , program director send me and email said that the decision will be made on the end of March.

I just got an email from the program director that I got in!! I’m so excited!

To the post below, congratulation! May I ask you that when did you receive the email from Dr. Kumar? Last Friday or...? I am in China, I receive the email last Friday, but I still waiting.

Is anyone else still waiting to hear back?

I'm waiting to hear back too. At this point I'm expecting a rejection since the previous email said they would get back to us by end of this week latest. I wish they would just get over with it. The waiting is the worst.

I didn't apply anywhere else. I live nearby so wanted to get my masters while still working. Thought I was a good fit with my design background and experience.....apparently not. How about you?

I also haven't received any communication since the last update on applications in mid-March. I'm also from Cali and I'm thinking I won't get in, which is fine since I accepted a funded offer in HCI at a school in Sweden today :) I wish the best of luck to you!

I live in the area also...I recently applied to DePaul's HCI program and got in pretty easily. You can complete the whole thing online if you're interested in that. I'm considering doing it online while working but also thinking about relocating to Chicago since I really want to have the benefit of being a part of the program's community. To the other poster, congrats on the school in Sweden - sounds awesome!

I'm waiting as well. I talked to him the other day and he said by this weekend (4/7 - 4/8) the program will send out emails. I haven't heard anything yet. (it is now 1:28PM 4/8/2018)

Why I never got any emails from the department about anything.

Rejected due to limited space. Extremely surprised and disappointed but there is nothing we can do now but wait for next year or try a different program.
