Offer has been sent but without funding.

No funding :( but still thank you Rutgers it is my first admission I feel I want to cry... I will try to seek external funding :( grad gpa 4.0 t20 school

Accepted but waitlisted for funding

International applicant, received an email from their GPD today and the offer on MyFile.

Non Canadian, I came on gradcafe to post about this rejection and then I saw the ones who too got rejected post a short note about their experience. I thought I was the only one ghosted because I too had a strong backup from the supervisor I was in touch with. He was extremely positive to take me on as his PhD candidate and then my last two emails I sent him after submitting my application was simply not responded to, I was ghosted completely. I felt so stupid because I was so sure about this and didn’t apply elsewhere thinking I would be betraying a potential supervisor who showed interest and now I’m left with no prospects. That’s on me and also a lesson learned.
