Waitlisted. Any idea how likely I am to get off it?

2 papers in upcoming CV conference, 1 year experience as software engineer, strong LOR's. no financial package (TA/RA/Fellowship) offered up front, potential TA positions after first semester. no prior contact with any faculty members. gpa for last 2.5 years was 3.97

Rejected after a positive interview experience. Didn't quite make the cut, unfortunately!

Top language & linguistics Chinese university grad, 2 EI machine learning papers, 4 data analytics & NLP internships. Did any international student receive an offer? Could you plz share your background?

Tier-1 college India, Dean's list, Data science minor, intern at CMU, currently at Goldman Sachs quant - devastated. Saw people with much lesser profile get admitted

Generic rejection letter. My GPA was in the lower region, and more importantly, I wasn't able to write a very strong SOP to state my motivation for pursuing the program, which both contributed to the rejection.

Got conditional offer through email

Interviewed last Thursday and Friday, received a phone call from the PI I talked to before I applied this morning telling me I was accepted, awaiting the official offer. Good GPA, relevant research experience, bad GRE score.

Received an email from the graduate student advisor yesterday! So excited! Apparently more info/official acceptance will be coming in the next two weeks or so. Best of luck to everyone :)

bummed out but also relieved on some level

Asked the admission office and they said the decision may be out this week. I saw my application status changed last week, e.g., incomplete -> complete. FYI.
