Has anyone heard anything from Stony Brook?

Knew it was a rejection since I never heard from them, just glad they didn't completely ghost me

3.67 GPA over UBC's pre-reqs (one B-, two Bs, the rest a-range). 450+ hours of SLP-A work, stroke recovery group coordinator, research experience, BI experience, tutoring experience, graduate level coursework. Strong LORs. Have not decided whether I will attend yet

This was a let down. Only school out of 7 to reject me (harder schools accepted me). Got interview, research experience, extracurricular activities, r, good LORS/PS and I was not even weight-listed. Honestly this is scary because it looks like the less expensive schools are becoming more competitive and harder to get into.

To the person who said they made the Facebook page. I cannot search it. Is it for in-person Fall 2021 Davie/Fort Lauderdale campus?

I was rejected for Summer 2021. Experience in the schools as a bachelor level Speech Language Pathologist.

Cumulative GPA 3.7, CSD GPA 3.95. Interviewed at the end of Feb and reached out last week for an update in which they said they were exactly where they would expect to be in reviewing applications. Got an email this afternoon with a GA application attached. Will not be attending as I have accepted elsewhere!

My portal still says pending, but I emailed the director of admissions for the program to notify them that I will be attending a different program. I hope this helps others who are still waiting to hear!

SO RELIEVED! I'm still waiting on a few schools to respond, but will most likely accept :)

400+ hours of SLP-specific volunteering, 100 BI, 1000+ with kids (but independently). OK GPA, in consistent marks so perhaps that played a role too. They got about 250 applicants this year. Best of luck to everyone else :)

Interviewed around Jan. 30, stayed in touch with the director, finally received an acceptance letter today! I have a bachelor's in CSD, a small amount of research experience, and 2 years of experience working in public schools.

Has there been a FB group made for those attending this fall yet?

I was surprised to get rejected I thought it was a safety school but I didn't want to go here. The commute would be too long

Other: To the person asking about BGSU funding. I received early admittance with funding in late February. I accepted the offer.

Never got any communication from admissions. I checked the portal and found out 4/6 I was denied. I have good grades, trilingual, 5+ years of experience with children with language disorders. No research. strong letters. I'm not impressed with the school's application process, but the location was ideal. oh well, I already have acceptances elsewhere.

Ranked 6th-10th position. One of my top choices but unsure what to do as of now since other schools have upcoming deadlines to commit soon. Best of luck to those still waiting!
