Just a point of clarification to the MIT undergrads posting here -- MIT specifically stated this year that they would not be accepting MIT undergrads. No need to be upset.

4 years research experience. 3 publications and numerous conference presentation. 1 more paper - currently under review. $28,817/9 month TA ship.

To the note below that says MIT explicitly says no MIT undergrad, may I ask where you saw this? However, I do know one MIT undergrad who was accepted...

To the poster below: I heard that MIT would not be taking its own undergrads this year directly from Catherine Modica, the Academic Administrator. A couple people got into EECS to do "physics" things.

Spoke with my contact. Was told that I didn't make the first cut, but that I'm "certainly not rejected." Basically on the wait-list.

Fully funded masters, PhD track degree. Elated!

To the note below about MIT undergrad: interesting, cuz I definitely know someone who got into the physics program as an MIT physics undergrad, but maybe he's the only exception

To the poster below asking about Michigan. I'm also still waiting to hear back, neither accepted or rejected. My guess is we survived the first round of rejections that went through last week.
