Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

Guys, I got placed on the wait list and below are the replies I got from Ryerson twitter. "Congrats on your waitlist offer! Please see here for more info on the waitlist. http://www.ryerson.ca/admissions/undergraduate/after-applying/wait-list/ - Certain programs still remain open, even after they've filled all available spots. This is because there are fewer people on the waitlist than we believe will decline their offers. In order to ensure we'll be able to fill all spots, applications can remain open." As we can see from the reply, applicants will NEVER KNOW if all the spots are fill UNTIL we made the application and got put into wait list. However, the application are still OPEN. Does it mean they are trying to rip off as much application fees as possible from applicants who are not admitted or being placed on wait list? Seriously we should do something about it.

If they are still accepting applications and you are on the wait-list then they are looking for better candidates...if they don't get better ones you might get in

To the posters below, still no word. I dont know what is taking them so long. I am having to delay my visa process of other universities for purdue.

Directly telephone CS department or admission coordinator rather than emailing or awaiting, if anyone want to know admission decision at this point.

Is anyone waiting for a decision from UCalgary still? I have called and emailed them numerous times only to hear that application is in open area and they can't give a date when they would send a decision.

I posted previously on 5/9. I just received notification on 6/10 from UCD that my application was rejected. The listed reason was "No additional space available in the graduate program for this admissions cycle." Two master's degrees, one in CS and another in CE. No publications.

Has anyone received admits/rejects for computer science. The university tells my application is in 'Open Applications' area. Any idea?

This is frustrating. I had completed my application in december of last year and they are still processing it. They could atleast reject my application so that i can accept other offers.

3 internships, 2 of them at CERN and many open-source projects of my own, thanks epfl, you really f*cked me up
