Political Science Graduate School Admission Results

Never got an email (as portal indicates). Got rejected on the portal.

Anyone here back about the funding letter yet?

To the post below: I completely understand your situation. But let's wait. At least, Universities in Italy are transparent in that they not only inform on the acceptance/rejection, but they also provide applicant's score and rank as well, which could most possibly be out any day next week [as informed in the interview].

This is really a kick in the gut. It looks like the best fit for all my applications. Congrats to all admits and best of luck to all who are yet to receive news.

To the post below: Even if you were not invited for an interview, the selection criteria does not consider any points from the interview (at least, that is what the official call mentions - also someone below, previously wrote about it). I had an interview, and I felt like the interview was only to get a feel of the candidate's general attitude and to have a basic idea of whether they would willing to work with the candidate. It was just a normal discussion of research interests, academic fit and general conversation on how the Phd caters to what you want to achieve.

Feeling a bit discouraged that I have not been invited for an interview- it seems as if my chances of admission may be low at this point :( Does anyone who participated in an interview (for the PhD in Social and Political Science) have insight re: the interview purpose & what was discussed?

Undergrad from mid-tier russell group university. Very pleased.

Received general acceptance via email & later received funding info from program director stating I'd been accepted with a GA fellowship (full tuition remission + living stipend for the duration of program)!!

TTPB: Come on, buddy! Did anyone inquire about the length of the waitlist? It seems to me that there are A LOT OF applicants are on the waitlist this year.

Same situation here - rejected by every program I applied to except for UIUC. Sadly, I don't think I can get off the waitlist - I just cannot picture the scene that I will have any chance to continue doctoral studies. Wish everyone have bright future, and I may have to say goodbye to academic life.

Email with funding details and prompt to check portal! Did not have any interview.

Please Please if you have any other competing offers and decided to accept others, could you please let Illinois know your status? Please save me from this brutal cycle....

Rejected by every other program... But I guess miracles do happen.

It is RIDICULOUS to let us wait for so looooong. Fxxk!
