Expected, no interview.

Rejected off the waitlist post-interview. I have not received any kind of personalized notification yet, but my status had been updated within the GradStatus portal when I checked this morning. Congratulations to the applicant who will be matriculating!

Wow. Really disappointed that in the era of Trump I still need experience. Your loss, Ole Miss.

My GRE scores apparently were not competitive enough, even though my scores are literally their average each year. They said on the website that research experience can make up for low GRE scores, but that is not true. I've worked in 5 labs(including one at Harvard), have 4 publications, and 7 conference presentations (3 first author).

Email came from graduate school. "It is their recommendation, due to limited resources, match with faculty research interest, or availability of faculty in this area, that you not be admitted to the degree program for which you have applied."

Recieved email from graduate school. “It is their recommendation, because your standardized test scores and your previous academic work are not competitive with respect to the field of applicants, that you not be admitted to the degree program for which you have applied.” Undergrad gpa: 3.86 Masters gpa: 4.0 GRE verbal: 151 GRE quantitative: 149
