Economics Graduate School Admission Results

I am waitlisted at Northwestern, and I have an offer from NYU (NYU is second-best). Please decline your offer from Northwestern if you are not going to attend, the system seems to be stuck. BTW, I thought whether cycles are possible: what if someone is waitlisted at NYU, has an offer from Northwestern and strictly prefers NYU other Northwestern? There is no way the current system will provide the optimum for the two of us.

It seems that this is a time for everyone to have a choice. So when you make a choice, there should be some openings for others. Could you please decline your offer ASAP if you do not want to go or have a better one? Don't hesitate. This is the last time. Your decision will also influence and help many other people! It is a chain effect.

It seems that U of T only admits people who make commitments to attend...

To the poster below, I have negative news from the chair. The acceptance rate has been higher than expected. So they would probably not admit students from the waiting list.

Accepted of the waitlist! Perfect weather here I come

I got an email saying I would be interviewed on March 6th. Never interviewed, but I got a fully funded offer with stipend + a 5,000 dollar additional fellowship today. I will be declining my offer.

Really excited!

I was offered a stop this morning ! incredible. I rejected since I'm going elsewhere. Hope somebody else will get it !

Anybody knows about the size of the waitlist at BC, and whether they are likely to admit people from it today??
