I enquired about my application status

No funding, Emailed the admission committee, I've been told that this year's competition is fierce. For those who didn't get admission yet, your results might not come till the end of April. Meanwhile, the deadlines for most other schools are before that. so if you got an acceptance, please decline or withdraw ur applications if you are no longer interested

To the poster below: Congratulation! I am still waiting the result. You mean that you sent an email one of the admission committee member? If you did so, could you let me know how to send him/her?

Just emailed the program and got the reply said decisions will be sent out by the end of this week. Finger crossed!!!

To posters below: I think I will go w/o funding for the first year because there are some faculty members who match my research interests quite well. I think if I study really hard in the first year and pass the qualifying exams with good scores, it helps to get funding afterwards. Though Rutgers is well known to weed out.

To the poster below: What do you mean for "weed out?" Do you have any info regarding attrition rate?

So far it has been the nicest rejection letter I have received. Guess I am not going to D.C. then.
