Economics Graduate School Admission Results

To the guys admitted a couple of days ago, when were you interviewed? by whom?

I thought my rejection letter is on its way to me, but... really surprised

GPA is grad , withdrew from the waitlist. Good luck to those on the waitlist.

Any advice on which school I should attend? UCSC Or Purdue? Any insights are sincerely appreciated.

Has anyone on the WL been invited to the visit day?

Was not expecting at all. I suspect a good number ahead in queue.

Is there anyone who haven't got any news from Northwestern?

To the Lehigh posters below, I also emailed the department and they said that mid April is when we will get an update. My issue with Lehigh is that on their website it says that "All students accepted into the Ph.D. Program in Business and Economics are offered funding packages that include four academic years of tuition remission and a stipend to cover living expenses". But someone posted recently that they were accepted but then denied funding, so I am not sure even if I get in will I even be funded.

To those waitlisted at BC: Did some of you choose NOT to remain on the waitlist? I for myself will have to remain there until the bitter end, as it is my only (fully) funded offer so far...Good luck to all of us!

To all of my fellow waitlistees, I too received an email to the similar effect yesterday. Their lack of funding would explain the delay regarding our application status; as I'm sure a number of already accepted candidates are now rethinking Lehigh if there really is no funding. I really hope that the funding situation isn't as grim as depicted by the one poster!

Got an email. no word on funding. Does it mean that I am accepted w/o funding?

I have received a funded offer from UF. They are only extending offers as they are declined as their department doesn't allow them to offer more than they have available. No news is better than bad news. Depending on visits this week I am potentially going to decline. Best of luck!

I saw someone submitted rejection decision from McMaster ,so, I promptly email them to know status of my application and following was the reply "We have received your documents and all decisions will be made and communicated by Mid-April."
