Email and notification to check portal, had expected outright rejection

I know no one probably cares about the MS, but just putting it out there!

4.0 in my Masters, HEP theory...been in contact with a prof for a while, interviewed by a different prof.

any updates?

only seen acceptance, has anyone heard about the waitlist or something ?

I guess most of the colleges have filled their seats. They simply aren't sending rejection mails quickly unless we ask them for update. Thoughts?

Anybody knows who to contact at JHU about my status? None of the admin staff are responding! Any idea who the director of graduate studies is?

Unofficial decision about 2 weeks ago, portal update today, was hoping for NW. But i don't understand why, they said only 2 letters needed but all will be read all if you send more. How can they do a uniform analysis this way

1 1/2 years of internships and research at national labs. Introduced to faculty by internship advisor. No pubs (yet). My rejection letter was literally two sentences long. This feels like a slap in the face.
