Speech Language Pathology Graduate School Admission Results

Called for a group interview ... I know they interview a lot of applicants, though!

I was finally rejected after hoping to get off of the wait-list. "Although you were considered eligible for admission based upon your academic qualifications, the department is not able to find a suitable position for you." I guess my extensive volunteer/research experience and special qualifications didn't enhance my application either. Best of luck to anyone applying to the program for the Fall 2012 entry.

It is pretty competitive in Mass. Only 6 schools offer the program. None are easier to get into than the others. I know ppl who have got into MGH but were rejected from Worcester State. I think it depends on your GPA/GRE and what the school is looking for during that application season. Good luck....

Has anyone heard anything from Western Illinois university? I still haven't heard anything from them or Indiana State University.

I heard that you have to get your own placement sites which is ridiculous! You should ask an advisor there if that's true.. Still haven't heard back from NYMC/St Johns/UVA/Northwestern..

To the person asking about Hofstra: I know someone who graduated 2 yrs ago and really liked the program. Professors are good, clinic has wide variety of clients good equipment, and there is a variety of externships, of which you get 3 placements. Sounded very good to me.

Hey, I have an over all 3.7, and 3.8 in Major. 980 on GRE's, lots of experience, and help officer positions in my chapter of NSSLHA 2 years in a row. Hope this helps, GOOD LUCK

Georgia State is also my number one choice. I've even been offered an assistantship that I applied for back in January. Is anyone planning on declining???
