Rejected to PhD, told I would be considered for the MA instead, hoping for an acceptance there! 3r/1a/5p

offered admittance to the M.A. program. I declined.

Got into the MA but i already have an MA :/

It's not a rejection, and UCR is among my top choices. Hell, I'll take it. Also, the email was from an actual person in the program (instead via a portal, etc.). Much appreciated.

Told me that I wasn't on the waitlist and may or may not end up on it. Taking that as a rejection.

Ignore Interview. Has anyone heard anything from Northwestern aside from Rejection/Waitlist? I have not heard anything, and I am starting to get a little anxious considering that round of rejections was like a month ago.

Don't know for sure yet but judging by the fact that I got this email at 1:30 this morning and googling what “update pending” means I wholeheartedly think it's either a waitlist or a rejection. Won't know for two days. Can only hope!
