To the EMU poster, thank you!!! My undergrad gpa was a 3.55 and my GRE scores were 148 (quantitative), 152 (verbal) and 3.5 (AW). My degree was not in communication disorders so I'll have a few prereqs to take. My gpa & gre wasn't stellar so EMU may have thought I had a good personal statement & good recommendation letters.

Just checked the website and saw my status has changed to DENY.

I was taken off of the waitlist. I will be declining the offer as I have already decided to go somewhere else. Goodluck to the waitlisters! There is hope afterall!

Thanks! They said that an official letter is coming in the mail and I had until the 18th to accept (which I am!!). Also that orientation is towards the beginning of June, dates to follow. I'm so excited!

If you're interested in teaching English in Korea for a year I really recommend either the EPIK program or TaLK program which are both government sponsored programs. You can also look into teaching at a hagwon but those sometimes can be sketchy and the hours are not very good. 2.74 gpa first undergrad and 3.94 gpa post-bachelor's in communicative disorders and deaf education at Utah State Univ.

Just accepted St Ambrose's SLP program for this Fall. I went to school in MI but am from IL. Either way, never been to Iowa but I am very excited! Anyone who is accepted and is reading this, would you be able to share any 'tips' for me about St Ambrose/Davenport or also very important, where to live. Also, if anyone's looking for a roommate..I could use one :).

I was accepted into the SLP program at WSU. However, I got into my top choice school so I will be declining this offer today.

I got a phone call on May 4, 2012 stating that I was accepted into the Communication Disorders program at Emerson College. I will be declining the offer today- I hope this helps someone else off of the waitlist!

I was waitlisted for about a month and was just accepted yesterday! This is my first choice, so I definitely accepted!

To those who didn't get in this year. Don't lose hope! I applied to 12 schools last year and didn't get into any. I moved to Korea to teach English for a year. I applied to another 8 "less known" schools this year and got rejected from all but one of them. Competition seems to be getting tougher each year but definitely find something to do in the meantime and try, try again. My stats weren't that high either 3.4 gpa and 1000 on the GRE.

I handed a complete application since in January and I only heard last week.
