Completed masters from my country with strong GPA. Had 4 publications and extensive teaching experience. Having no subject GRE might be a strong reason for rejection.

The respect for UCSD in my eyes has fallen after seeing this year's admitted students. Kindly take help from students to design the selection process, they know better the importance of various academic achievements. Highly skewed procedure

Applied for MS CE from CS dept.

No funding as expected. Any idea of if deferring the place to next year would be w/out any problem -considering the pandemic issue?

"Denied". A very casual decision presentation. I applied many PhD and MS position. Probably will go to GaTech for MS first. Clearly Amherst doesn't evaluate PhD and MS admission in parallel (or am i misunderstanding?). Good luck to everyone who haven't received any admission. I haven't received any ad before April. So things may still happen.

Due to the limited number of spaces and the number of applications received, the final selection must be limited to those applicants with the best overall qualifications. This is a highly competitive process and your application was not selected on the basis of competition.

I also emailed them last week but they told me the they are still reviewing files and will be making offers until April 15th. I don't know what to think at this point. I wasn't notified that I was waitlisted either. On the portal it still says “awaiting decision”

TPB: no interview. I just haven't heard anything from the department. To those admitted, what's the date to response to the offer? Did they send out all offers? Many thanks!
