Graduate School Admission Results

This is the worst rejected in my life.. Already imagining living in NY, imagining study in Columbia. Long time waiting brought the worst heartbreak in my life.. Yeah, I'm too much, but whatever..

A painful waiting game ending in a rejection. I'll just go to my man cave and cry my heart out :'(

App was strong and timely. 165/158/5.0 GRE. Stellar LORs. Even a professor in a different dept. at Columbia stated she looked forward to working on research with me this fall.

Finally. Excited!

Glad to know I'm not alone in still waiting! Makes it slightly less terrible. Have also been wondering what people mean about checking their status. On the application website, you can go to the "Application Status" tab but that just says that the application was submitted, fee paid, & rec letters submitted. And there's also the record of their communication with you. Not seeing any sort of "Pending" status anywhere though as others have referenced.

To those who received a decision where did you check your status? Can someone please answer, this question has been asked over and over again and still no answer.

I received an email informing me that I was accepted followed by another email about the next step to accept the offer. There is also a new tab in the online application named "offer" where there are the offer letter, housing info and Financial info. Hope it helps!

Congratulation to those just accepted. Till when do you have to respond to the offer?

Finally got the news last night, and have until 4/15 for a final decision. Anyone else planning to go to the open house on Thursday?

Non-CS Undergrad from IITB, CPI=7.1, 2.5 year work ex in analytics

I'm still waiting. Today is Columbia's university-wide Data Science day so I bet DSI staff are busy with that for at least today. Also, stay optimistic—rejections AND admits have been going out at the same time over the past few days; not everything will necessarily be a reject at this point.
