randomly checked the portal to see a 'deny'. had contacted admissions multiple times inquiring the status, each time they ignored. i'm from detroit and have a familial connections to wsu so it's disappointing that this is the decency they give to those involved in their community. good luck!

interviewed by mid dec with PI, then second round interview with another prof from the department. Rejected by email from PI on 1/2. The PI decided to give up accepting any students in this admission cycle.

Emailed PI of interest to ask when interviews had been sent out. She did not mention the date but said over 500 people applied this year.
