What is this racism? No school wants a student with a sh*t, racist personality attending their program. GPA isn't everything. People who are obsessed with GPA just want to justify their misery with this self-fabricated inflated importance. Good for you "latino male accept" you have great GRE scores and diverse experience. U of Illinois is lucky to have you :)

I got an email telling me to check the portal. No interview. Good luck to everyone!!

Had an interview yesterday. Emailed to check portal and found the admittion letter. $24000 yearly funding for 5 years, with 6 semesters of TA requirement.

Email from PI that I have been waitlisted. Other faculty got to choose before my PI due to resource limitations, though I am my PI's top applicant.

Received email from Director of program that I have been waitlisted. Email mentioned they will not update my waitlist status until after April 15

Rejected and referred to the MAPH program. At least they're fast about it this time.
