Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

No word on funding yet, invited to open house.

Five years of funding (including 4 summers). My MA GPA from McGill was 3.66, but 4.0 in classes I took at the Berkeley soc dept. One minor pub, 3 strong LORs from respected profs (McGill sup, UCB sup, and a tenured prof who was impressed by my conference presentation), five years of research experience (qual and quant), and a couple of presentations at big conferences.

Roses are red, violets are blue, Harvard said, "Nah, we just don't like you."

Tiny bit disappointed but was accepted into Berkeley, Wisconsin, Minnesota, UT Austin, & Arizona -- so, I still have some great options.

Full funded for 5 years!

Email to check application portal. Generic rejection letter.

Called the department and was told they'll be sending an e-mail to those waitlisted tomorrow. So, assume a rejection if you don't get one.

E-mailed at midnight EST to check portal.

It’s all over now. I have talked to a professor on AC. The decisions have been made a couple weeks ago and everyone who hasn’t received emails are rejected. Does anyone know anything about BU?
