Physics Graduate School Admission Results

Thank you for your application to the Physics - PhD program for the Fall 2025 semester. We received a record number of outstanding applications this cycle and were pleased to consider yours. However, there are a limited number of spots in the program, and the committee has made the decision to put you on a waitlist for possible acceptance. Reviewers assess the degree to which applicants have the qualifications to be successful in our program and in their stated goals. Each file is carefully evaluated based on criteria that include: prior academic performance, portfolio of recent work, letters of recommendation, evidence of previous experience, and the applicant’s written statement. While most of our applicants are strong in one or more of the requisite areas, decisions are based on an evaluation of the application as a whole. Interviewed on 12th Feb and got accepted two days after. No GRE

2 summer internships at Argonne National Laboratory, with publication in preparation. Publication in preparation for high-impact journal from university research. Was told that funding is very limited and I was very competitive for Ph.D.
