Graduate School Admission Results

B.S. in CS from Top-5 CS school. Near perfect GPA. 1 year of research experience at a research institute, and 1.5 years at two research groups each. No publications, but a solid senior thesis. 2x internships at a FAANG and 1x at a unicorn.

TTPB (who was rejected today): Did you receive an email notification? If so, when?

Not WL. Same boat. Got an invitation to the open house but no information on application status. Not sure if I was in the waitlist.

Email to check portal. I'm accepting another offer, so I'm withdrawing from the WL. Good luck to everyone

Not WL. If they release the admits all at once, then I guess can only be reject if you haven't heard anything.

Accepted with no scholarship $$.

Put on the waitlist for HEP-Th Cosmology PhD. If there are offer holders that aren't going to accept JHU please let them know as this is my dream school!

MS program, not MEng. Expected considering they only admit around 10 students per year.

Re-evaluation against the March applicants... hopefully can receive an offer by April.

Emailed with an update on the portal. Checked and saw "waitlist". Surprised, already got another full-ride offer with higher ranking. I'll just wait and see.

TTBP: How were you notified and which home school did you apply to?

(not an interview) I was under the impression that decisions being out by mid-March actually meant we'd know by mid-March lol. No email or decision in portal yet

Received an admission last year but postponed my studies because of the pandemic. I expect an offer in the coming weeks, but the current outcome shows how competitive admissions were this year.
