@ caltech asking. They may be waiting for others to accept or decline offer before telling you. There is a very small chance you get accepted.

Applied to Astrophysics. Were most people who were rejected today from CMT only? anyone from astro?

Does everyone rejected from Caltech have the following lines? "Your record and qualifications are very good, and we have no doubt of your ability to earn an advanced degree and that you will have a successful career. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. "

To the below, I have also not received an acceptance nor rejection at this time. I think this is all really strange. I applied to astrophysics by the way.

CMT. How did this even happen?

Three rejections in a day (Harvard, Caltech & MIT) and one has been unknown (Cornell) for a week. I am sad.

I think not receiving an email from Princeton means a rejection. To me, it looks like matching is quite important. My profile is good. My undergrad research is high energy nuclear physics. I applied to physics for Caltech, MIT and Princeton. Since Caltech and Princeton does not have nuclear physics program. I already got rejected from Caltech and very likely from Princeton. However, I got in MIT.

Was worth a shot; not really expecting to get in. But a rejection from a place like MIT still hurts the most.

Has anyone heard from UNC? I was told first offers would go out back in January, but haven't seen anything on here.
