Speech Language Pathology Graduate School Admission Results

Does anybody know anything about the LIU program? Does it really take 3 years to complete the program?

For the person who asked - my stats are GRE 1100, GPA 3.6, do not have an SLP background

This is for the postbac program starting in summer. I was taken off the wait-list about a week ago.

OMG! I got in, thank you to whoever recommended checking the website...I never got any type of notification...hm, maybe I should call on Monday to confirm?

GPA 3.46, GRE: Verbal 540, Math 740, Writing 5.5. No research or formal work experience but have been out of school for a while and have worked with a child who was receiving speech therapy. I think I had strong recommendations, though.

Accepted via website, still waiting for a funding letter. The grad app process is incredibly odd, wait-listed and rejected elsewhere but happy to have found a place this fall. Best of luck to everyone.

Just called Emerson...couldn't take the wait any longer! Found out I've been offered a position on the wait list, and will be getting an official letter in the mail about it very soon. The woman was very nice, stressed the level of competition of the applicant pool but encouraged me to accept somewhere else (already have & will be likely going there). My stats...3.8GPA, around 500's each section GRE's, extensive undergraduate employment/volunteer experience in the field. I also called Northeastern University and they said a decision has been made and I will be receiving a letter in the mail next week...hm, a circular way of saying REJECTED, haha. Oh wellll. Wasn't really expecting this.. 3rd acceptance out of 8 and the second acceptance that has come off the waiting list.. there is hope!

For the post below... GPA 3.9, GRE 1060

My GPA is 3.74, GRE V: 540, Q: 510, A: 4.5. My undergrad is in a different field, and I have completed the pre-reqs as a post-bac student. You might hear soon, because the e-mail says we have to reply within 10 days and they haven't made a decision about GA or tuition scholarships yet. Good luck!
