Guys, I request you all to shoot up an email to csadmit@umn.edu for the status update. It's high time now and because of these emails, they'll at least try to pace up their process. PLEASE MAIL THEM!!

Yes I think so too, I did not see any relationship between admissions and GPA or GRE scores, it is a little mystery. But yes I'm really pissed with the Uni which has no sense of whatsoever. You gotta understand that it's students who are waiting for results: all you gotta do is update, rejected or waitlisted than make them wait till the end with hopes lingering and rejecting them on their face. Pathetic.

Sigh... Id received: 14 Jan., rejection: 28 April, no waitlist, no reserve list, no transcript drop. Via LFY and via email a few hours afterwards. LL.M. from LSE (with Mid-Merit), 1 published article in an international journal, 2 research assistant positions, 1 offer to be a teaching assistant and a very niched PhD proposal, with 2 LSE professors nominated as supervisors (from whom I had previously received guidance re my proposal). TTPB: Barry has been copy-pasting this response since a month. There is no use in emailing him. Barry will send the decisions whenever he feels like.

First off, this year they had to review nearly 2000 applicants and therefore, from my perspective, it's nearly impossible for them to review each and every candidate (Due to showing 'submitted' on majority of candidate's status). Secondly, the students who got in have been in touch with one/two Profs and after an interview, they may / may be not get into the program. So from my standpoint, this year is going to be a mass rejection in this department!! Because, a lot of students from last year have "DEFERRED" their 2020 admission to 2021!!!

Have anyone received email regarding financial assistantship?

Undergrad in other university in Quebec, 2 research internships including one in ML.

Have been put on the official waitlist. In case anyone else has an admit and is not willing to join, please consider conveying your intention sooner to NYU Tandon if possible. This is the last hope for me.

TTPB Asking about SUNY Buffalo: I got an offer for PhD on 31st March. Was given 1 week to accept/decline. The deadline for accepting funding was April 30. I declined them both as I had accepted elsewhere. You can mail the Director of Grad Admissions and ask for a status update. I had also mailed him and got to know that I was in the waitlist. Good luck.

Rejected from MS CS - data science, however my application is being forwarded to the MS CSES. My first degree is industrial and systems engineering and I'm graduating from a CS post-bacc program this June.

All PhD and MA spots have been filled and the final list of students has been announced to the department.

Applied in Sept 2020. Received acceptance letter via filedrop on April 2021.

TPB. I received an interview on mid March but didn't hear from them until now. Just check the application portal and the status is still under review. The Econ Department at York has more than 40 faculties but they even can not complete the application review.
