To the Western Illinois applicant who asked about back-up plans post prerequisites: I suggest that you make full use of your prereq education by contacting hospitals, private practices, clinics, schools, and see if you can get a volunteer job working with SLPs or even a paid internship or something. Also, see if you can get certification as an SLP-A (assistant) and starting working that way. You can put yourself in a good position to re-apply to grad school with an even better story of how you didn't get in the first time, but being an SLP is your dream job that you are committed to pursuing so you stayed the course. Good luck, you still have 7 schools left - I'm rooting for you!

For those of you not hearing back from your assigned faculty regarding interviews, I would double check. I know that myself and a few others have already scheduled them for this week. They said they have been bombarded with requests for different dates and times, so maybe they are just attempting to sort them out. Good luck

To the person asking about the interview: I emailed my faculty member as well and have not heard anything. I was wanting to drive up and do an in person interview during my Spring Break, but it's looking like that's not gonna happen. But don't worry, I haven't heard anything either and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
