Received an email to check website. Also, to the people asking: Every single rejected applicant receives a recommendation for the MA program in Bioethics, regardless of whether or not it has anything to do with your interests.

I can confirm that every rejection letter from NYU includes a plug for their bioethics MA. I can't speak to the quality of that program, but I definitely wouldn't take the mention of the program to suggest that one is unusually qualified for the bioethics program or anything like that, they're really just trying to sell it to people who might be interested.

From what I can see, I received the offer a few days later than others. Not sure whether that means that I was accepted from a secret waitlist.

"While we recognize and respect your impressive accomplishments, it is with great regret that I must inform you that your application could not be included among our acceptances." Probably a stock letter nonetheless.

waitlist isn't ranked but arranged by area, so i figure including mine could be helpful. AOI: free-will, epistemology, and 20th century phenomenology.

Another referral to their bioethics program. I'm not surprised by the rejection, but the sales pitch is a little distasteful.

Generic rejection letter which I had seen a lot going through this process. An international student. The mail says there were 390 applicants for 11 places, wonder where they came from and why the number is so high.

And let's dispel once and for all with this fiction that I have any hope of getting into a PhD program. I have exactly zero hope of getting into a PhD program.
