Automated email notification to check portal. Rejection letter was fairly standard. MA GPA is around 3.97. Sociocultural Anthro track. Outside of one POI, UCSB was not the strongest fit for me. 0a/1i/1r/15p

Have two-year master's in econ and solid thesis (A+). Oklahoma's grad. program coordinator replied in email: "... your GRE scores are good. I would encourage you to apply in our program." University of Oklahoma has been providing false data to the US news ranking for its graduate *aka* toilet placements. I don't care to apply, even though my references, two US econ professors, have submitted their letters. Oklahoma should stay in my PhD application submission waitlist :D

Email telling me to check the decision online (generic rejection letter). No surprise since interviews went out a while ago. Chem/Math double major, 2.5 years research experience postbacc in a cell biology lab, 1 conference presentation, 1 mid-author publication, 1 first author publication ready for submission. Spoke to 2 POIs who expressed interest in having me rotate in their labs.
