TPB: the offer I received from UW Foster has annual stipend of 35K (base salary + fellowships), which seems to be comparable to the stipend from Maryland. Best of luck!

I will decline my Maryland offer immediately if I have better choice. Would you mind telling me the funding package of UW-Foster? Thanks a lot!

TPB: I actually declined an offer from UW Foster last week. They mentioned that they made 5 offers. So if you are on the waitlist, I think there is a high chance that you will get an offer. I haven't heard any thing from Maryland after the interview, so I'm assuming it's an implicit waitlist. I have a preference for Maryland over other programs, so it would be great if you can kindly decline your Maryland offer as soon as you had better options. Thanks!

TPB: I was accepted a month ago but they were not offering any funding atm to anybody(at least it was stated that way in the letter). Boragan Aruoba sent an email late March asking if I'm still interested if offered full funding, and I replied yes. Received an email yesterday asking me to check the portal since the decision has been made, and the official letter was there. There was no info on funding in the official letter, but they mentioned the funding in the dept acceptance letter in March.

TBP: Would you mind sharing if you were officially on the WL before you got the offer on the site? Did you attend the visit week, and did you just check the site randomly or you got a mail? Thanks!

Has anyone (accepted students/priority waitlist/waitlist) received information on the Virtual Visiting Week? I was told I was invited but never heard back again with more details

TTPB: UMD is on break. I called ahead because I had a job offer and was informed of my offer. They should be following up very soon!

TPB: I think maryland has released acceptance and waitlist so probably an IR now. TPBB: Has Maryland started making funded offer? I was notified early March about acceptance but waitlisted for funding, wondering if they are offering fundings one by one now...

I have not heard any decision. Is this IR or they are making decisions on a rolling basis? Anyone on the same boat?

I have accepted. $23k funding + fellowship from graduate school. Non-econ undergrad, MA in econ, both state schools with scholarships to avoid debt. Lots of research experience including 2.5 years research in health economics think tank.

Interestingly, no word on funding or who my PI will be which has been the case for every other PhD program I've been admitted to. Maybe they'll notify us in a few weeks.
