Ignore interview. Has anyone been officially rejected or waitlisted from ND yet?

Received an email that notified me to check the portal. As far as rejections go, this was one of the nicer ones. Felt almost as if they regretted the small number of spots they can fill.

IGNORE interview tag. Has anyone heard back from UofH for their English PhD program? It's almost April so not sure what's going on.

Notified of status update through email, checked portal.

Emailed first by department coordinator about lack of funding/being unable to fully find me as the reason for the rejection. Oh well, only inspiration to start applying for grants and fellowships (external funding) and try again next year!

Ignore the interview tag, just had to put down something to post. Has anyone else heard back from NYU? What did you hear? Did they just ghost everyone who was waitlisted or rejected? Have heard nothing from them and have seen posts only for acceptances and interviews, no waitlists or rejections.

Email notification. Honours in my undergraduate and graduate degree. I wish I could know specifically why my application was rejected.

I didn't apply here this fall. I applied last fall (2023). I am waiting on other decisions, so imagine my surprise to be rejected from a school I did not apply to for Fall 2024. Double-checked to be safe. Thanks UFL. The icing was "we received over 100 applications...we congratulate you on our work...we have carefully considered all applications..."

They FINALLY got around to sending out their rejections, many weeks after alerting those who were accepted or waitlisted.

Rejected after being waitlisted. Said they would consider my application for next year, should I apply again.

Rejection with somewhat of a reference to the MA program? They stated I might be eligible for a partial tuition discount should I apply for the MA, but the details remained vague.

Rejected from the waitlist. In the waitlist email, they said I was “very high on the waitlist,” but that they were “waiting for the 2024-2025” budget announcement. Alas, they weren't able to admit more than the 2 students who accepted. 1a/1w/1i/4r/2p
