FREAKING OUT!!!!!

Acceptance with no interview. MA from US school.

PL, had interview with POI just after application was submitted

Tried emailing potential advisors in September, October, November. Never got any replies back, even generic copy-paste ones. Not surprised at all but considering complete lack of communication outside of email just to reject, maybe not a loss.

"Thank you for your application to the Boston University School of Public Health. The Admissions Committee has reviewed your application for admission to the Ph.D. program in Health Services Research for the Fall 2022 semester. We regret to inform you that the Committee is unable to offer you a seat in our class. We had many qualified applicants and the competition was especially keen this year. We wish you success in your academic endeavors and in your public health pursuits." A bit expecting this outcome as research fit was quite a stretch.

Stock message: I'm writing to let you know that the admissions committee has finished the process of evaluating the applications for our 2022 Litowitz MFA+MA class, and I'm sorry to tell you that they are unable to extend you an offer of admission to Northwestern. The number of available spaces in our program was extremely limited, and we've been obliged to turn down many outstanding applicants. The committee appreciated the opportunity to review your credentials, and felt that you deserved a word directly from the department. We wish you all the best in the coming year, and thank you for your application.
