However, due to limitations in our resources we are unable to make a firm offer at this time in the Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences class of 2020. We are committed to full support of all students who matriculate and are holding your application to ensure that we will have ample resources to support your graduate training. In the interim, if you have decided to accept an offer at another institution, please let us know. We appreciate very much your interest in Washington University and the time you took to visit St. Louis."

To the poster below: Thank you! So I think you are on the waiting list? Can I know your BG? And can I know if you are going to decline the offer (if you receive it)? I am evaluating my possibility to get into the problem, as the waiting list is not very long, they might send the other rounds of interview.

3 Interships, 1 REU, Honors Research/Thesis, but small school and no publications.

I really wanted to work with Brendan Juba, Kunal Agrawal and Roch Guérin.

To the poster below: The on-site interview, or Highlight Olin, was held on Feb 20 and 21. One of the professors said that the program expected to make decisions in early March, so I guessed the preferred candidates might already receive the offers. It appeared that they had seven finalists and that they planned to accept two students. I have not received a rejection letter, though.

two publications and one to-be-published, GPA 3.78 and 5.0/5.0 for MIT Bioengineering department special student program. two years iGEM experience as team leader, one silver medal and one gold medal, best hardware, and four nominations for the second year. Rejection after interview. The research field fits my interest very well and really sad for the rejection after the interview.

The applicant pool for incoming Ph.D. students in Computer Science must have been very competitive this year. I was hoping to at least get put on the waitlist.

If you haven't received word from WashU, is it fair to assume that you have been implicitly rejected? Any insider info is appreciated.
