YES! Personalized email from DGS. Keep believing in yourself, I was rejected everywhere last year.

Checked web portal, application status says: "Congratulations on your offer. The University is processing the offer, in 1 to 2 business days the decision buttons will be available to you to indicate your decision."

Final rejection -- knew it was coming, but now it's down to one acceptance and two waitlists. Everyone who knows they're going to decline an offer should do it soon to give those on waitlists a chance sooner rather than later!

Finally got rejected, I've been expecting this since late January and glad to finally hear a real answer from them. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Has anyone heard back from UW? Not those who were accepted (CONGRATS, THATS HUGE!), but anyone waitlisted or rejected?

The grad director of UW Sociology gave me this update when I asked her about the admissions timeline -- "This is all a process, and everyone will get an answer. The first round are immediate admits. Then we build a waitlist. Then lastly we do denials. It takes until the end of March often for us to get all answers out as we do this in phases. If you are on GradCafe or some such site, if you could let everyone know, all will get a response, but not all at the same time and that we take a while to get all the responses out. Generally speaking, I do not answer these inquiries as a result, if you could let everyone know that as well that would be really helpful, thanks. "

Has anyone on the waitlist heard from the school? Also wondering if there's any admit who's considering declining their offer. Any update would be appreciated.
