Finally received the same nicely-worded rejection others received a while ago. (Canadian)

"This year we had roughly 350 applications to our graduate programs, whereas we are able to accommodate only 16 students (MA and PhD combined)." Sigh.

A very nicely worded correspondence. It notes that 350 applications were submitted, and only 16 were selected (MA and PhD combined).

Just wish it wasn't so long after the other emails... had my hopes up.

Email from Craig Fraser. $15,000 + tuition and fees per year

Same as the others. I even had an SSHRC nomination internally from McGill (I'm a transfer from another department) and a cross-appointed supervisor lined up who was fighting for me. Completely crushed.

3/8 w/ 4 to go on PhD programs. 2/2 w/ 2 to go on MA's. Had to look at the e-mail address to figure out who was rejecting me. The entire body of the e-mail did not indicate which school was sending the e-mail.
