I got the same email notification as the poster below..... any idea what it means? are there any chances of getting an admit?

I checked my status on the website and it says that "YOU WILL RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF YOUR ADMISSION DECISION SOON VIA POSTAL MAIL." I wonder if they mail it to current or permanent address . Has anyone got a mail yet ?

Called admissions and got the email:"your file is missing your sufficient financial statement of support and passport verification. While these documents are not required for your application to be reviewed, if you are recommended for admission, we can issue your I-20 without delay for your visa procedures." Even though I applied last September, does that mean they haven't reviewed my application yet? Did anyone receive rejection letter?

I called up USC to find out status. They said that a decision was not yet made and it may take them even till May-June to make a decision. :-( Apparently, a lot of applications this year.
