I got my notification on 2/25/2021

Had a nice interview a few weeks ago, received a rejection email today. Congratulations to all who were admitted.

I'll share something weirder. I received the same simple but confusing email one hour ago. The thing is, I never applied to USC !! I did send my TOEFL scores to them but I did not register in their application system. Not to mention submitting my application. So

"Dear Applicant, The Department of Sociology is sorry to inform you that you were not admitted to the program this year. We wish you well in all of your endeavors. All the Best, Sociology" Extremely disrespectful email. At first, I thought it was also a spam email. You'd think a school with all that money would at least show some respect with folks who took time and PAID to submit an application.

I had already received an alert to check portal a few days ago, but then I just received another email to reassure me that I had been rejected. The email was the weirdest rejection letter I had ever received - like something that was written within 3 minutes. Compare to the Umich rejection letter, it was pretty unprofessional.

I emailed them two days ago and got the rejection letter just now.

GPA is grad. Have not received official rejection but email said if you have not been accepted, you are rejected (bit weird in my opinion). 1a/4r/1p

Email received (under promotions tab in Gmail) of acceptance w/ 75% tuition covered with scholarship. Official notification from USC coming within 48 hours

Same situation as others. I did not receive the acceptance email, so the email sent out today told me I have been rejected.

While my decision has not uploaded on the portal, the email did say that if you were admitted, an email would've been sent Sunday, February 21. I did not get that email.
