University of Pittsburgh Economics Graduate School Admission Results

TBP: I was interviewed and attended the open house but have not yet received an offer. Hoping to get one soon because I really like the program but I think they are moving very slowly this year.

Is there anyone who has not received an offer from U Pittd although he/she too?

TPB: Thanks for your information. Finally, they answered me and informed me that I had been rejected. 2a/1p/7r.

TPB: I emailed them through the message center on the portal and they send me a message back informing me of their decision. Tbh if you haven't received an interview by now then your chances are slim. I hope I am wrong and I wish you all success.

[Not WL] TPB: How did they inform you of your rejection? I wrote them to ask about my status, but have not received any response.

TPB: No I have not been told. I'm hoping to attend their visit day before I make a decision, but it is quite strange that there's been no info about it yet. I was wondering if this was I haven't been formally accepted, or because I was on the waitlist

TBP: I think they're targeting a super small class this year, I assume they've made a few offers. I was interviewed and then waitlisted. Have you received anything about a virtual visit day?

Was waitlisted a few weeks ago. Has Pitt even offered any acceptances yet to those interviewed? Does anyone know how big the incoming class will be?

Had the interview a few days ago. Got an email saying that I am in the waiting list. Please decline the offer from this school as soon as possible if you do not plant to attend. Thanks!

TBP: Do you know if they are interviewing more people than they are going to make offers to? I had my interview last week and am super anxious to hear back since this was one of my top choices...

Had my interview this morning, scheduled last week. Decisions will probably be made in the next couple of days. There seem to be only 5 slots this year.

TBP: Go ahead and email them! Again, it's not a rejection until you actually have it in your hand. A lot of schools are doing things differently this year and it certainly won't do any damage to demonstrate you're still interested.

TBP: Pitt has conducted some interviews (I had one last week). I don't think they have issued any acceptances or rejections yet. If you have heard nothing it is probably not a great sign, but doesn't necessarily mean rejection. I think they are aiming for a very small cohort.

(NOT WAITLIST): I haven't heard from any of these schools yet. Implicit rejection? Please share your thoughts if you are in the same boat as me
