Someone was asking about Penn State Adult Track, I got a phone call from POI with the offer on Wednesday. I know of someone else in the Adult Track who was also given an offer already too. Best of luck!

To the poster below. Though it doesn't look good, considering that there have been like 10 acceptances already, I called the department and they said that they are still reviewing applications.

Got a call from graduate chair and POI; official letter of acceptance soon.

I had masters in TESOL with 3.9 GPA

Offered a spot with a $10,000 scholarship

Offered a fellowship as well as a bonus for accepting offer by March 20.

I emailed last week to ask if all decisions were released. They said they were still finalizing decisions and all would be mailed by end of this week. So far no word either way, but we are supposed to hear yes or no today.

Well, this was my dream school. Wished that I would hear back today, and I did. Congratulations to all of the accepted applicants.

No email, but decision letter is now online. I knew weeks ago because of gradcafe, so I was saved almost a month of consternation. I had 3 articles, a book contact with a scholarly press, and what I had thought was a perfect fit for the department. Oh well.

Book contract, rather. In my defense, the decision letter from the Penn Dean also includes a typo ('an' instead of 'and').

Has anybody heard ANYTHING?

to the poster below asking about the developmental area at penn state: Thank you very much! I am not very sure whether all offers have been sent out. My PI just told me they had a meeting in Monday and decided to give me this offer. I am still waiting for the formal letter and the financial info. Maybe you can ask your PI. Best of luck!
