Profile: International student from China. Undergrad was politics/economics double major at top US public university. Overall GPA 3.89, Polisci Major GPA 3.96. Research interest is Chinese politics

Applied for ALP, and got rejected. UK BSc student from RG uni.

Profile: EU student studying for a degree in Politics with Philosophy from a top RG uni in London. Average is 74 and 77 in my major subject (Politics). Two peer reviewed publications in UG journals, and a final year dissertation in theoretical political economics. No word on funding, but will probably go to Cambridge.

Also accepted by department only, no funding, and also only given 2 days for decision. Seems rather hasty for me, esp. with knowing no funding...
