Offer of full faculty studentship

TPB: Mine changed to MPhil from MPhil-DPhil on Friday, the same day as the MPhil-DPhil acceptances on gradcafe. Then yesterday around noon I could not upload documents anymore in the supporting document page (seems to be a signal that a decision has been made), and this morning I got my acceptance. There was no separate email about the reassignment before the offer email. The offer email itself mentioned that they could not offer a place on the integrated programme, but want to offer a place in the MPhil. I have a feeling that their first lot of MPhil-DPhil applications have gone out already - it could be that you are on the waitlist for that, or it might also be that you are rejected, but there's no way to tell really. At any rate you should find out by next week, best of luck!

[NOT INTERVIEW] To the Oxford admits, did you receive an email notification regarding being rerouted to the standalone MPhil? My portal still says MPhil + DPhil and when I open it says Master of Philosophy in Economics (2+2). When did you apply? Do you reckon Oxford is sending out staggered decisions based on app date or do you reckon it's an IR?

Applied for Jan 8 deadline. Interview invite Feb 1. Interview Feb 8. Agonising wait. Offer March 15. Being considered for funding.

Got an acceptance to the standalone MPhil after being reallocated from the MPhil-DPhil. Nothing about funding yet. Graduated from top UK econ uni (non-Oxbridge) with a first in 2019 and did part-time RA work and a thesis there, have been working as full-time RA at the same uni since graduation.

Have a lower second (almost 3rd) from University of Sussex in Economics, truly shocked when I got the acceptance but excited to be attending my dream Uni!

Two BSc degrees, one in Economics (w/ good GPA at top Swedish uni) and one in Mathematics. RA and TA experience. Rejected to MPhil-DPhil, but rerouted to MPhil where I was accepted today :)

Accepted but not funded. Only 1 out of 26 accepted students offered funding

To the question from 07.03: I haven't actually been told too much about what kind of funding I was awarded, just that my offer included full funding. After chatting with some of the academics, it's turned out that it's a Clarendon scholarship, but will likely be co-sponsored by the department to allow for a long-term attachment.

For those who got the 2 am rejection, did your upload documents tab disappear the day before?

Profile: EU Student from King's College London, exchange at UCLA (GPA 3.9), in History and International Relations - Concentration in EU Foreign Policy, with a Predicted First. Research Internship at the European Parliament. 2 peer-reviewed publications in UG Journals. Research Proposal on the EP and the EU Trade Policy. I have no words.
