Did anybody hear back from UIUC environmental engineering PhD program?

1a/0w/7r/2p seem to have gotten the letter on Saturday and my parents didn't bother to tell me about it

Please, decline the offer, if UIUC is not your top choice T_T

Has anyone heard from UIUC? Still havent got a result and the April 15th deadline is approaching...any idea why this might take so long?

Ivy League undergrad, 4.5 years research experience (last 1.5 full-time), 2 pubs in prep, 2 pubs under review. GPA is nothing to write home about and mediocre subject GRE (didn't study). LoRs and SOP were strong. Still waiting on a couple other places but so grateful to have this offer so early in the year. Research >>> grades. Best of luck to all!

Accepted just 3 days after I submitted my application! UIUC has the most efficient admission committee ever. No interview requested.

Two POIs seemed interested. Generic reject letter. I am utterly heartbroken. Oh well...life goes on.

Honestly, I am a bit surprised. Good fit with program and POI.
