Applied to PhD, accepted to Masters with option of petitioning for PhD after masters

Submitted application on the 15th, got accepted via e-mail on the 26th.

Acceptance without interview, however, they have visit days with interviews that they use to decide RA/TA fellowships/funding in March. So the offer had no info on funding.

Got an email from a professor in November asking about my research.

After no prompting whatsoever I received a message from a professor (genetic engineering) requesting if I was still looking for a laboratory. This was not a PI I requested in my original application. While I would consider this an admit (of sorts) I have already accepted a fellowship and project at UIC. Anything can happen! Hope a better fit gets this professor and this school.

When do the people who have neither received a rejection nor an acceptance expect to hear?? :'( Anyone on the wait list here? (I am assuming that I am on the wait list)

In comparison to seven peer/semi-peer schools (UMich-Ann Arbor, Northwestern, Wisconsin-Madison, Illinois-Chicago, Purdue, UChicago), UIUC did not send any notices by April 25th. Staff are not prompt in responding (if they respond at all). Contacting PIs and students is your better bet. Definitely would have expected better from the dept.

Unofficial notification from POI. The admission letters will be sent over the next two weeks.

I have got an admission letter on 18th jan, no funding yet, i have been trying to reach out to profs but they are not replying? anybody facing the same issue? I am worried for funding?
