Over 200 applicants...only admitting 4-5. I feel pretty good!

Hyper-generic e-mail. I wasn't too psyched about their program anyway.

As with some of the others here, rejected from PhD, still being considered for MA. Whatevs.

According to the email, my application will be reviewed for entrance to the MA program. But I've already accepted an offer to another PhD program. CU took forever to get their decisions out!!

Told I was "near the middle." 1a/2w/5r out of 12

Received an e-mail admitting me to the doctoral program. Asked, and it was a mistake. Response made it seem like the same mistake may have happened to all those on the wait list, so just posting it here in case it happened to anyone else.

To the poster below, are you sure the original email from the university didn't say masters? I am on the wait list and was informed of my admittance to the masters program by a similar email with no mistake.

Yes, I'm sure. I knew we were all admitted to the masters program so I triple checked that it said "doctoral." Guess someone just clicked the wrong button on mine.

Off the waitlist. Very happy to accept this offer.

"...but you're not high enough on our list that I can honestly tell you there's a great chance that you'll get in." Feeling dooooomed.
