University of Colorado Boulder Materials Science And Engineering Graduate School Admission Results

I was invited to virtual visit (1/21 & 1/22) to CU Boulder. It seems like nobody posted their invitations here (maybe?). I read some people in the forum wonder if all the invitations of CU Boulder has been sent out. There were 20 people in the social psychology program at virtual visit day. Now I am waiting for faculties' decisions.

Interview on Feb 2nd. Might have other round of interview, might not. Hope I can get the offer

During my Colorado interview it was stated that they are only accepting one student for each subfield. It looks like for theory there are about 10 or so applicants that were interviewed.

Invitation to the virtual open house that will take place at the end of February, admit decisions will be made after the open house. From a previous conversation with POI (back in December) an invite doesn't guarantee admission but is a positive sign and the open house acts as an extended interview.

3.54 major GPA, 1 first author publication, 2 years of research experience, accepted to a prestigious internship, contact with POI since June. This is my top choice, so if you were accepted and aren't planning on attending, please let them know

Virtual open house will take place in late Feb. Final decisions will be sent in March.

Received an email from POI inviting me for interviews with them and another professor + their research groups' meetings + the Finalists weekend. Track: Learning Sciences and Human Development.

Received an email to check the portal and found out that I was accepted with full funding and a TA position. Didn't get contacted by the program or any faculty members earlier.

Undergrad from CU. Major GPA: 3.95, no publications.

Email acceptance from Prof. Formal offer 2 weeks later on applicant portal.

Admitted, but 16th on the waitlist for funding.

Anyone else apply for Boulder, if so, have you heard anything?

Contacted for an interview on January 14th, then received friendly unofficial notice from the Graduate Director on January 20th that I had been accepted but waitlisted for funding. Great program, so crossing my fingers I hear back down the line.

Analytical & atmospheric chemistry. No pubs or conferences. Lots of research in analytical environmental chem and non-traditional student. Strong references. Got an email from professor letting me know I was accepted. Got the official offer 7-Jan-2021.
