Ok this is RIDICULOUS. I haven't heard anything from UCLA, like no decision at all. But I just got an email from them saying "Thank you for considering UCLA for your graduate studies. Your online application has been received." Like, for lack of a better phrase, WTF????? They just received my PhD application submitted almost 5 months ago? This is just way too much.

Notification comes 6 days after the deadline without any previous communication. Too bad UCLA.

Email to check website. Excited!!! I will get the total rejections.

Waitlisted on 9 April via email, offer/accepted on 10 April. Offer 3 years of funding with TA work approx 20K/year

UCLA really let me down this application season. They even spelled my name wrong in the rejection e-mail! $140 down the drain...

Actually I am not still interested in the program. But just some advice for those who still consider UCLA at this point. 5 months without any sort of communication is not just disrespectful, but may also demonstrate that the department is a mess when it comes to management and planning, what most possibly correlates with program strength, its trend and placement during the next few years. In any case, delayed selection and postponing official results until the deadline is a risky strategy that will likely not only affect the class size but also the quality of the 2020 cohort. Based on this, be aware of potential risks involved, folks! Stay safe and good luck to everyone on their choices! :D

Followed the advice of others and wrote to them personally to get an update

Extremely Disappointed. Not because of the rejection itself, but the delayed response and impolite attitude towards applicants. Their ddl is among the earlist but there was NO any contact during this 5-month struggling period! Not a GOOD program at all

I also emailed them and they finally responded with a decision, after a 4 and a half months, on the deadline day for most programs. And they didn't even had the courtesy to email it them selfs. Long and annoying application process, earliest deadline among American schools on 1 December, and 140$ down the drain. To next year applicants, I advise you not to waist your time on this school.

Following instructions from the poster below, also sent them an email asking for my status. If you are waiting for their response, maybe you should do the same. Thanks for letting us know, poster below. It's all finally over!

Sent an e-mail earlier today and they responded saying I was rejected. If you really want to know your status, I think you should send them an e-mail ASAP.

Did anyone get any news from UCLA? I sent an e-mail yesterday and was informed they had made their decisions, but wasn't notified of anything and got no status updates on the website.

TPB: Dear waitlisted friend: I agree with you: the long wait is quite frustrating. I hope you get in, and above all I hope you find peace regardless of the results (whenever they are released). The application process is quite time consuming and a lot of hopes are involved, but you are brave for trying! And whatever happens I think an acceptance from a university does not define us. I'm sure you are much more than a cv or a standardized test! Asking for help regarding anxiety to a health professional might help, it has helped me in the past. Wish you the best.

This waitlist is unbearable. and I can't handle the radio silence... This is the most profound bout of constipation yet and it seems to hit me in waves. Some are so intense I blackout and come back to consciousness on the pot drenched in sweat. I don't even care if I get rejected at this point, I just want the pain to end...
