I think I lacked research publications (none/one ungoing) due to the peculiarities of the French Grandes Ecoles system.

Accepted to MEng. in MIE

Emailed ahead of official admissions offer. Domestic student (Canadian), 3.91 GPA, 1 first-author p.i.p., 1 international conference talk, 3 conference posters, 2 strong research L.O.R., 2 years TAing, 2+ years relevant research experience.

This is such a frustrating process sometimes. Best of luck and wishes to everyone who was accepted!

Received email to check for an updated status, and then the rej letter: "... Graduate departments receive many applications and can only offer admission to a limited number of the most highly qualified applicants. Admission decisions are final and not subject to appeal." No interview, applied for the sociocultural subfield.

Also have M.Sc Molecular biology w/ 4.0 GPA, 1 publication, 3 years experience in academic/industry research after masters.

No GRE. AMO Physics. 1.5 Years of Undergraduate Research Experience.

It is Direct PhD after Bachelors

International applicant. PI wanted me but was waitlisted due to limited funding. Heard the news unofficially and the official letter will come out next week. Congrats in advance to all those who gets accepted ! Also, if you're an international applicant not planning to come, I'd appreciate very much if you can turn down UofT offer to rescue us from the waiting game.

Domestic student. 4.0GPA, with 3 great recommendation letters from well known professors in my field. 2 years of part-time research. 1 year of full-time research. 1 conference presentation, and 3 first author publications.
