To the poster below: Congrats on your interview! I didn't know Princeton did interviews ( I thought it was direct admit from my discussion with a POI), but now I am nervous since I didn't get an invite

ttpb asking about biomechanics/biomaterial. No I have not heard anything from that track either. I think biomechanics/biomaterial is a part of material if I'm not mistaking.

I am the post prior to this one. To the person below me: sorry, did not mean to leave you with no context! I got an interview invite after having had a good amount of contact with the POI prior to applying. I am shooting for physical oceanography specifically, so their timeline may be slightly different from other areas in the department. Wishing you luck :)

TPB: I am 99% sure the one Princeton acceptance on GradCafe is a joke/troll. So I wouldn't worry about it

TPB, programs send out responses at different times. Judging by the past five or six years, Princeton's decisions will come some time between mid-February and the end of February. However, there is a good deal of variance year to year depending on the program. Furthermore, I expect the uncertainty will be a bit higher this year judging by some of the early responses already, and the fact that we're still in the middle of a pandemic. I'm feeling mad anxious as well (I'm sure we all are!), but I'm not sure it's quite time to be pushing the panic button yet.

Alright. But Stanford already send out all the offers and rejections a week ago. I just hope Princeton could move faster :(

Interviewed early January with fluids faculty. My GPA is pretty good for attending a rigorous & competitive undergraduate program (no where a near a 4.0 lol). I was a community college transfer. I did not report my GRE scores on my application (nothing stellar). I have one third author publication in a high impact journal pending. I've had two industry internships and conducted research at a national lab. I noticed the national lab I worked hires people from many different schools (including many that I've never heard of). I think fit is the most important thing for grad school. In the grand scheme of things I think what matters more is your personal effort and attitude.

Had an interview on 7th Jan for 10-15 min. Waiting for the results.
