Generic rejection mail.

Applied to hep-th. I knew I was going to be rejected. 4th rejection. 3 more to go

I also have yet to hear back from Penn State. After today's round of rejection emails should I be expecting one soon or is there still hope?

Same query as others below. I have yet to hear back from 11 places I applied to (3 in USA, 7 in Canada, 1 in Europe). Is it too unusual?

It seems a lot of us still have to hear back from PSU. Do not count your admissions until they come, just be patient. Good luck to all!

@poster below: I emailed them a couple days ago. The reply I got is exactly the same as that you got. I know many students didn't get any words last year (fall 2015) until now. Maybe they just forgot to send out rejection.

They said they are finalizing admissoins decison, which I think means no more than rejections. No hope at all...

I haven't heard back as well, although a friend of mine from my institute got a rejection. If we don't hear back within the next week, I think we must be on a waitlist and we will know by the 1st of April (going by how the rejections were sent out in 2015). So if we are lucky, some of us may still get in. I guess even though there were no posts on gradcafe announcing acceptances between 5 March to 1 April in 2015 for penn state, there still must have been a few. Lets stay hopeful!
