History And Middle Eastern Studies, Northwestern University I am not super active on this page but seeing all the posts from scared, anxious, and depressed applicants made me feel the urge to provide a brief note of encouragement. It will work out for you eventually. This is my third application cycle and it’s gone well. Just keep working on yourself, network, do some conferences, and expand your horizons beyond academia. Life, knowledge, and learning are much more than that which we find in the confines of a prestigious university or a classroom. Have confidence in yourself and don’t give up. Rejection is a part of life and facing it is a learning experience of its own.
